Set Time: Near-instantaneous (typically 2 to 5 seconds), allowing books to be trimmed and packaged immediately after exiting the binding clamp. Open Time: Short (usually 5 to 15 seconds), meaning the cover must be pressed onto the spine right after applying the hot melt glue before it skins over. Operating Temperature: Standard industrial formulations of thermoplastic glue run hot, generally between 160°C and 180°C (320°F to 356°F), ensuring effective adhesion in various applications, including packaging adhesives and PET bottle labeling.
